In this studio, each student was assigned an architect in the first exercise, and the focus was on studying and learning from the unique techniques of these architects in the creation of furniture (1:1) and a proposed pavilion. The design of the dining pavilion integrates catenary arches, which are formed by curves resulting from the hanging of a chain—a technique that directly draws inspiration from the hanging chain method. Utilizing ferro-concrete, the material expresses its strength through thin, elegant arches, showcasing the versatility of the medium. In the proposed pavilion, catenary arches play a central role in defining the form. The interconnected arches create a dynamic and flowing structure.
