This project delves into the roots of Thrissur's renowned Vellappangaadi (Vellappam Market), tracing its origin in the 1900s near Puthanpalli church. Examining the historical evolution and typological changes of Erinjery Market's row houses, now exclusive Vellappam manufacturing centers, that led to the street's re-naming. The proposed visionary design preserves architectural significance, storefront interactions, and individual house identities, envisioning a shared eatery. This transformation seeks to amplify production, sales, and customer experiences, promising a brighter future for the appam-making community while reinforcing Vellappangaadi's significance in Thrissur.
