The project brief (MAT Nexus) was to construct a new multi-modal transportation bus station in Gandhinagar that facilitates urban growth, congestion relief, integration of transport modes, economic development, modernization, and environmental benefits. The aim was to accommodate a growing population, reduce traffic congestion, provide seamless transit options, boost the economy, update outdated Facilities, and promote eco-efficient public transportation. The tasks were to integrate various critical services like transportation, commerce, healthcare, and leisure activities through a design approach that begins with a spanning detail and develops into a building language.
