Building Sustainable Relocation

"Areas or spaces are formed by the people”. Increase in the pace of urbanization leads to large scale transformation of a bulk amount of people under the name of redevelopment. This in consequence leads to reconstruction that is unprecedented. All these people for road widening, overbridge construction, railways or for other reconstruction reasons are relocated to various sites. From many such sites one is Vashinaka, Mumbai.  The aim of the design was to create  more interaction among the communities and people relocated so that along with awareness of their neighborhood they can also develop sense of belonging and understanding.
