Safe and Sustainable Solid Waste Disposal in Surat

The project aims to implement a safe and sustainable method for disposing of solid waste in Surat. It focuses on the last step in the solid waste service chain, addressing both legacy waste from the old disposal site and the current active disposal site. The project will assess the suitability of the disposal site proposed by the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) and identify potential new disposal sites for the future. The proposed project encompasses a range of substantial benefits across environmental, economic, social, and health dimensions. By putting into action all the measures, Surat will ensure a safe and sustainable disposal stage in the service chain.
