Illuminating Public Spaces:Encouraging activity at night

The site is located in the walled city of Ahmedabad, completely land blocked, with the only access to the primary road being a roundabout. The design aims to address the problem of lack of social interactions in the existing public spaces during the time of night. It aims to enhance the quality of social life in the night time by improving the lighting condition of the streets and incorporating elements in the social spaces to encourage people to interact and also to enhance safety and functionality. Through this design, one tends to transform this space into a vibrant and inviting environment, which can be enjoyed by everyone, irrespective of their age.
