Wellness Center for the Elderly

The aim of this design project is to address the significant issue of the lack of healthcare facilities in the Ahmedabad Pol area, a closed cluster residential neighborhood. The absence of nearby healthcare resources poses a critical challenge to the community, particularly impacting the elderly who may struggle to access medical services due to limited mobility. The proposed intervention is the creation of a Wellness Centre, a multifunctional space that offers a range of health and wellness services, with a specific focus on catering to the needs of the elderly population. This center will include facilities such as a therapy room, clinic, open exercise area, yoga and meditation open spaces, relaxation room, and an art and craft room. These facilities are intended to improve the overall health and well-being of the elderly residents in the Ahmedabad Pol area.
