The Project Wrap

The selected objects narrowed the project’s focus to the qualities of a skin wrapped around a core. The quality of interstitial spaces, perforations, and overlapping volumes were scaled to a habitable chunk model. The project snuggly fits within Manek Chowk, a pastiche of objects and buildings patched together with the rich history of pol houses. The workspace program caters to artists who come to the old city to learn and teach artwork and skills. The building is visualized as an assembly of three pieces- the plinth, the artist’s studios, and the gallery plugins. For additional portfolio.
