Monsoon Semester 2023 | Passive Comfort Lab

The Passive Comfort lab aims at promoting building energy efficiency and maintaining thermal comfort. The topics covered are climate analysis , solar geometry ,psychrometry ,ice box challenge , ventilation , heat transfer principles and building simulations . Ice box challenge gives a practical understanding of factors like the heat transfer principles , selection of natural materials based on their properties like thermal conductivity , structural integrity and insulation . Building simulations using design builder software helps to analyze the energy efficiency and thermal comfort properties of the building envelope ,which helps to provide energy efficient and sustainable solutions.
