The Passive Comfort Lab studio provides a comprehensive exploration of fundamental building physics principles, encompassing Heat Transfer, Climate Analysis, Solar Geometry, Psychrometry, Measurement, and Experimentation. This semester-long course delves into theoretical foundations and practical applications, guiding students through the intricacies of heat transfer, climatology, natural ventilation, and more. The coursework culminates in a hands-on experimentation exercise, focusing on a one-meter cube volume to apply heat transfer concepts and introduce Moisture Transfer. The simulation module extends this knowledge to analyze heat gains from a building envelope, emphasizing practical application. This portfolio encapsulates key insights and achievements from the Passive Comfort Lab studio, showcasing a synthesis of theory and real-world application.
