A Place for Prayer

This place for prayer in Kochrab Ashram, Ahmedabad, provides the users, worshippers, or wanders a place to relax, pray, meditate and experiencing the space as it comes. The simplicity of the project, serene context of landscape and water elements coming into the design to blend the user into the place making them more present and in connection to the space and themselves. Simple geometry, play of lights and shadows, levels, textures, fluid movements, repeating elements, come together to enhance collective congregation and individual prayers.
