Road infrastructure planning and design in difficult terrain is the studio's area of expertise. The first two physical games were brainstorming exercises covering the fishbone diagram and mind map. After that, the curriculum was split into two sections: planning and design. The studio spends a great deal of time planning and creating an appropriate avenue alignment in a hilly area where the influences of the constructed and natural environments can coexist. The studio has investigated the challenge of optimising street alignment for the Gujarati locale of Idar. Initially, the rationale behind giving a direction was determined, and a plotted alignment was created. This alignment underwent changes with regard to comfort, safety, cost, substance, and environmental impact. Finally, a route that complied with both buyer requirements and IRC Codal regulations was presented, along with a Total Cost and Safety Plan.
