WEAVING THE NODES :Integrating Metro to the Urban Fabric

Chowk Bazar in Surat, a bustling marketplace steeped in history, captivates with its vibrant energy. The metro's vision is to weave the metro harmoniously into the fabric of Chawk Bazaar, ensuring that it feels new, not foreign. The metro aims at identifying the major nodes of the area and interconnecting these points at various levels - controlling the pedestrian traffic and ensuring continuous movement of passengers, visitors and residents of the area. The project also aims at creating a transit hub by seamlessly connecting the various other transit points- bus stands, auto stand and metro access points.
