The Cocoon

The Cocoon is a 1050 sq. m large exhibition center located near the mulberry farms of Karnataka. The center is inside the campus of a silkworm research institute and factory where silkworm farming and silk-making are also practiced.
The process of developing the design and its roofing structure through a series of physical and digital models, structural analysis and drawings are illustrated below.
