Mass Rapid Transit system feasibility report - Ahmedabad

The studio aims to provide the students with a comprehensive understanding of the framework to undertake feasibility of a transport project in a city. The students will analyze various rapid transit technologies and undertake a process of mode selection. An evaluation framework including physical, financial, economic, social, and environmental aspects would be used for assessing project feasibility. The students will be able to develop system operation plan, preliminary infrastructure plan for facilities & project implementation plan Alternative analysis would be carried out for different scenarios using the financial and economic analysis framework. In addition, social and environmental impact assessment would also be covered. The students will also focus on some of the planning/design/engineering aspects such as corridor alignment and design? station planning? proposal for typical road section? etc. Finally, the students will develop a system operation strategy, preliminary infrastructure plan for facilities & project implementation plan for the suitable scenario(s).
