Activity Mapping of Chandigarh showed that the movement of women is purpose-driven, and hence the aim of this project is to design a frame that can be installed at any sector-junction to make pause for the residents and for the strangers more accessible. It provides for specific pause purposes along the street - like sitting and interacting, which aim to eventually bring these people into the sector. These purpose-driven experiences can then organically transform into opportunities for relaxation and leisure. Secondly, it was understood that the idea of pause and purpose is closely linked to the concept of Place, aiming to establish a sense of belonging and ownership for women in public areas. Consequently, the design strives to establish a vibrant community that is more appealing than the current one, encouraging women to venture outside their homes and engage within the neighborhood, without having to actually enter the neighborhood. Hence, it is an effort to redefine, and 'ReFRAME Pause'
