GIFT City Expansion: TP Scheme

The GIFT CBD area was developed with a masterplan approach with a global FSI on land acquired by GIFTCL. However, the expansion area with multiple land ownership cannot be developed similarly. Hence, it is being developed using Town Planning Schemes, the most common method of development of green field areas in Gujarat. The idea is to create a model to create a more liveable neighbourhood through the TPS, looking at the area developing as a whole and creating an equitable way of land appropriation to pool the sectoral level greens
