New Ranip is a ward under AMC in Ahmedabad, situated as a suburb on the northernmost zone of the city. The region is often referred to as “ the evolving urban periphery” of the city. The study are is situated within the main region of the mentioned ward. The studied area is located at a prominent location, located between the SP ring road and the Old Ranip area. New Ranip is the region which is one of the evolving suburbs of the city. The region is still under transition as the vacant lands situated within the region indicates potential for development.
