The Heterogeneity of Motera is a comprehensive study delving into a profound transformation of one square kilometer area of the Northwest region of Ahmedabad. Over the last 2 decades, the region has emerged from agricultural land to a major residential hub. The journey of Ahmedabad’s northwestern precinct is a captivating narrative of urban evolution. The precincts metamorphosis has given rise to a dynamic multifaceted urban hub. An important lesson from this study is the role of urban planning in navigating through the intricate balance between preserving historical roots and spurring modern developments.
