Ahmedabad, a historic city in the state of Gujarat, extended its municipal boundaries in 1987 and included areas to its south eastern part which includes Ghodasar and Isanpur. This is the study of one square kilometer area i.e. a precinct named ‘Ghodasar-Isanpur’ which is the part of above said expansion. Furthermore, encircled by industrial areas, Ghodasar-Isanpur evolved as a residential hub catering to the housing demand of the industrial workers. This has shaped the precinct's character as a residential area where people who migrated from different parts of the country, having different socio-economic backgrounds are residing together in housing societies. This portfolio delves into the nuances of tangible and intangible aspects of Ghodasar -Isanpur.
