The Portfolio focus on the studio work done in semester 3. Starts from exercised 1 where from the case study around the world we learn various micro-level planning model which is practiced. Along with exercise 2 which was about finding out feasibility of development project according to current regulation and market. Lastly about the the Local Area Plan (LAP) for Bandra Mahim in Mumbai, while crafting our strategic approach navigated the city's intricacies to unearth its unique resilience. Recognizing the impracticality of geographical expansion, our focus shifted to sensitive regeneration and redevelopment. The LAP aimed at forging a distinctive identity, fostering community belonging, and restoring crucial green spaces. The introduction of the metro prompted a significant east-west shift in connectivity, leading us to prioritize a pedestrian-friendly precinct to enhance community interaction. Located near economic hubs like BKC and Dharavi, our vision was to transform the historic Bandra-Mahim trading route into Mumbai's vibrant second gateway, creating a culturally rich locale through thoughtful urban planning.
