The dynamic development of Chandlodia West in Ahmedabad, analyzing its historical evolution and the impact of governmental policies. Initially a part of Ahmedabad's green belt, Chandlodia faced shifts in development plans, leading to a legal dispute in 2013. The northern precinct experienced planned growth with widened streets and increased Floor Space Index, fostering commercial activities. In contrast, the southern part faced neglect but is undergoing revitalization efforts, introducing a mixed-use element. The street patterns reveals a dichotomy between planned infrastructure in the north and organic, pedestrian-friendly layouts in the south. Chandlodia West exemplifies a multifaceted development, integrating planned strategies with organic community evolution.
