The peri-urban residential area of Ranip West is located in the Northern outskirts of Ahmedabad, near to 132 Feet Ring Road and SG Highway, divided by Rajkot - Ahmedabad railway line. The area is characterized by the presence of adequate public amenities and supporting infrastructure like road network, schools, parks, etc. The report aims to delayer the urban fabric of a square block of 1 sq. km. within Ranip West for the purpose of study, to be referenced by a group of sociologists, economists and community representatives.
