The study delves into Kankaria, an area situated in southeast of Ahmedabad & at the periphery of the Old city. The study focuses on its location w.r.t city center, its spatial distribution, redevelopment challenges faced, the impact of connectivity & built environment. Through preliminary observations, it aims to uncover the area's transformation over time, emphasizing street networks, connectivity, and walkability. By analyzing land use morphology, built form dynamics, and unique characteristics, the study utilizes aerial images and primary surveys for a comprehensive understanding of Kankaria's urban evolution, providing insights into its socio-economic dynamics and its broader role within the city.
