"Odhav, initially a rural gamtal beyond Ahmedabad's city limits, underwent a significant transformation. In the 1960s, the Gujarat government's GIDC initiative marked its evolution into an industrial corridor. This shift sparked residential and commercial growth, altering Odhav's identity. The area witnessed increased population density, necessitating basic infrastructure services. While industries became pivotal in job creation, housing, and transportation, GIDC estates lacked adequate services. Over two decades, Odhav's landscape shifted, catering to diverse working-class populations. This portfolio examines Odhav's evolution from a rural expanse to an industrial-driven, residential-commercial hub, highlighting its development through data and analysis."
