Utilizing the cultural footprint of theatres and cinemas

This semester used the Ahmedabad World Heritage Site as an example to provide a comprehensive grasp of conservation-led urban regeneration. Following a series of steps, the Ahmedabad WHS nomination dossier and related documents were examined, along with information on the Historic Urban Landscapes approach, current thematic discourses in the field, a suitable site within the WHS boundaries was chosen, documented, and mapped, archival research was conducted, stakeholders were consulted, the site's value was assessed, issues were identified, a proposal vision was developed, and finally the proposal strategies were detailed.
