Addressing the escalating scarcity of fresh water, the focus shifts to reclaiming sewage through advanced technologies in water treatment and sewage treatment plants. The aim is to efficiently design these plants, ensuring the ability to compare reclaimed and fresh water costs in scenarios not involving human consumption. Two plant designs have been established: one for a 14 million liters per day (MLD) water treatment plant and another for a 13 MLD sewage treatment plant. These designs adhere to the CPHEEO guidelines for water and sewage treatment, encompassing a comprehensive study of levels, a schematic flow diagram aligned with natural gradients, and meticulous provision of facilities within the treatment plants. The layout incorporates hydraulic flow calculations, accounting for net head loss, and conducts a detailed cost analysis.
