The studio emphasis is the intricate design of interior spaces and components framed by positions and practices in conservation undefined reuse. It investigates the notion of socio¬-cultural context while developing an appreciation for the built fabric with heritage values, and creating meaning of place, sensitive to earlier roots, while superimposing a new function. Students will be introduced to adaptive reuse through case studies and research exercises, exploring in-depth reasons undefined attitudes revolving around functions, space planning, interventions undefined user experience. Students will identify various aspects of the hospitality industry, programming undefined planning a hotel, through research and case studies. This knowledge will be tested through time problems exploring spatial possibilities after which, students will design a hospitality project with respect to a heritage site. The approach will appreciate the practical considerations of Interior Architecture profession with explorations within the program, resolving interior spaces incorporating material, design detail, interior services, styling.
